Technology being used in the classroom is now extremely important. In today’s culture, a teacher would be a fool for not utilizing the resources available through multimedia. Teachers need to incorporate as much useful technology into their classrooms’ as much as possible because technology is the culture of today’s student. Our education system has made strides to adjust to the new standards by implementing programs like UDL. UDL, or Universal Design for Learning, is the key to this because its focus is appealing to a wide range of learner in all aspects of our lessons.
Since UDL has been introduced it has helped our learning system progress to offer free and appropriate public education for all. And because its unique focus is to appeal to all technology is a key part. If a teacher can use technology in their lesson plans they open so many opportunities to create multiple means of engagement, multiple means of representation, and multiple means of action and expression. So, not only is it a useful tool technology has turned into a necessity to the 21st century teacher. These views have not changed for me because I am young enough to experience the use of technology in my education, so I have always seen technology integration as a normal concept for all lessons and teachers and fully agree that it is a must.
My lesson plan was on the eukaryotic cell and identifying organelles and differences in cell types.
